helped to support. A GUADEC logo or the GOPA logo[2] seems the sort of
thing that would fit in well somewhere. Also, perhaps some photographs
of successful events would liven up the page that talks about the good
things the Foundation has done in the past.
Good point. I didn't think about photos at all. My thinking this far
have been to focus more on simple illustrations to illustrate something
or support big blocks of text. However, every once in a while, you'll
probably need a photo. I'll try to come up with a good form for this
during the week.

As people seems to like the Foundation folder look and feel, I felt it
was time to update the website as well.

The idea is a clean and light layout that feels professional, but not
stiff.

Me and Kalle Persson can implement it as html+css.
It would be cool to update some of the texts as well. I think we can
cut&paste some stuff from the folder texts, but I we can probably do
some cleaning up of the ones currently on the website as well. Anyone
interested in grabbing that?
Any new content we would want to go in there while we're at it?

One thing that is lacking, but needed, in the current Foundation
website is a good place to archive and make public important documents
like the ones at this link [1], the Foundation Charter and By-Laws,
former annual reports, tax-related information, meeting minutes, etc.
It would be nice if the new website had a nicer and more maintainable
interface for this sort of information. Perhaps this would mean more
the mockup should show how integration with the Wiki should be done
to be as seemless as possible, for example.

I know that Luis has been interested in promoting the GNOME Charter
and By-laws documents to a 1.0 non-draft version. If this could be
coordinated, it would be nice to also provide updated versions of
those documents with the new website.

Since elections are coming up, now might be a good time to get the
Foundation community to consider voting on a 1.0 version of Charter and
By-Laws documents, if that would be necessary.

+1 for MediaWiki. That would take considerable sysadmin resources though.
I'll write to infra list to see what we can get.

Lots of new content the board would like to put there; there was some
discussion of moving f.g.o to a wiki but that got stalled and
therefore the new content got stalled.

Can we do a Mediawiki install on gnome.org or something?
It's pretty easy to style.
If not, upload the new content somewhere and I'll implement it in html.

Looks great Andreas! :-)

My only comment is that perhaps the bottom graphic could be a bit
bigger (can't explain, i feel it gets a bit lost), don't know.

thanks :)
