Re: [MLL]Weekly Worker 376 (21/3/01)
The Weekly Worker is NOT the paper of the Communist Party Of Great Britain, but of a tiny Trotskyite sect which (mis)uses the name. It's paper, the Weekly Wrecker is famous soley for being no more than a fractional gossip sheet for the Left in the UK. They call for the violent overthrow of Cuba's socialist system and describe Fidel Castro as a "Dictator" and describe Stalin as a "mass murderer". During the NATO war against Yugoslavia, the Weekly Worker were vocal in their support for the KLA - even printing an interview with a KLA commander at the height of the war and calling for "Victory To The KLA"! After the recent bombing of Iraq they gave tacit approval to this terrorist action on the front-page of their paper. And during the CIA coup in Yugoslavia they ran with the fron-page headline "TRY MILOSOVIC". Ian Donovan, a leading Weekly Worker 'ideologist' who penned the article mentioned below on Macedonia, openly boasts that he considers Communists to be the same as Hitlers Nazi's and regularly describes anyone who opposes NATO imperialism as "Red/Brown" and liberally throws in accusations of communist "anti-semitism" and "mass murder". And to top it all off, the Weekly Worker are open advocates of the lagalisation of peadophilia and heroin. Don't believe me? It's all available on their website (see below). Re: [MLL]Weekly Worker 376 (21/3/01)
Comrades, I can only endorse J's comments on the so-called 'Weekly Worker' and urge that the list make it clear to these sinister and vicious Trotskyites that this is list is not to be used for advertising their wretched anti-communist rag nor their sick promotion of legalisation of peodophilia and heroin. As a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain until its liquidation in 1991 I can assure comrades that this group has nothing in common with the Marxist-Leninist tendencies that remained in that party. This faction/cult led by the openly Trotskyite Jack Conrad is not recognised in any way as a successor party to the liquidated CPGB indeed its main purpose is to detract from efforts aimed at a unified communist formation in Britain. The two communist organisations that emerged out of the CPGB in the seventies and eighties -- the New Communist Party and the Communist Party of Britain both treat the 'Conrad Party of Great Britain' with the disdain they deserve and other Marxist-Leninists in other organisations and of none, are waging a co-ordinated campaign to rid our movement of this provacative and deceitful clique. Re: [MLL]Weekly Worker 376 (21/3/01)
Dear comrades, It was with some curiosity that I read the article list from the paper in question. Their inclusion of the article dealing with the Australian left uniting prompted me to immediately see that trotskyism was their ideological basis. The "Australian Left" (the trotskyist left in reality)has formed an electoral alliance along the lines of the British model (again trotskyists). It is a sham and sectarian in nature and as a result highly unlikely to survive for any length of time. It is with some interest though and I believe of great importance for Marxist - Leninists to realise and counter the current trend within trotskyism which seeks to "shed its trotskyist skin" and reinvent itself under the banner of Marxism-Leninism. This is occurring in The US, in Britain, Australia and most likely elsewhere. The orgs leading the Aust. electoral alliance are not as rabidly insane as the examples contained within the Weekly Worker but nevertheless they too were strong supporters of the KLA and many other reactionary international movements. An interesting phenomenon. Have others noticed this trend. A question. Is the present "Communist Party of Great Britain" a trotskyist organisation now? In one of the earlier messages objecting to them, a comrades said something to the effect that it is not a Trot party but this sect is. There's a good article by Barry Stoller, "Left Wing" Libertarianism on this issue of Trotskyites advocating things like peadophilia, etc and it can be found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BarryStoller/message/12 Fraternally Charles > This faction/cult led by the openly Trotskyite Jack Conrad is not recognised > in any way as a successor party to the liquidated CPGB indeed its main > purpose is to detract from efforts aimed at a unified communist formation in > Britain. > > The two communist organisations that emerged out of the CPGB in the > seventies and eighties -- the New Communist Party and the Communist Party of > Britain both treat the 'Conrad Party of Great Britain' with the disdain they > deserve and other Marxist-Leninists in other organisations and of none, are > waging a co-ordinated campaign to rid our movement of this provacative and > deceitful clique. > > Comradely > Harry > > > >From: "Charles F. They are very small (about 40 members) and are active in the trotskyist electoral bloc, the "Socialist Alliance". There is also the Communist Party of Britain which is not Trotskyite and which publishes the Morining Star newspaper. The CPB takes the old "Brezhnevite" line and represents most of the 'real' CPGB's pro-Soviet members who were pushed out by the Euro-communist takeover of the CPGB which itself was formerly dissolved in 1991. Comrades, your comments on Weekly Worker are correct. It is sufficient to remember that this so-called CPGB tails behind their fraternal right-Trotskyist Socialist Workers Party, supports KLA and Chechen Islamic terrorists. As for Weekly worker, they do make any effort to ensure their materials are accurate let alone truthful this was described in detail by myself and others in late July 2000; try searching HTTP://WWW.Mail-Archive.COM/marxist-leninist-list%40lists.wwpublish.com/ Could the moderators block CBGPs e-mail address and any its known derivatives permanently? Re: [MLL]Weekly Worker 376 (21/3/01)
This is addressed to comrade Harry, I have only recently joined a number of communist listservers so I am not conversant with who is who and what each represents politically. However I was amazed to read that the CPGB dissolved in 1991. I was a member of the CPAustralia 1975-91 when it too dissolved. At the time I suspicious at the motivation of the leadership (one aspect was an asset strip which amounted to millions). The CPA had an interesting history going back to a major split over Prague and the USSR where the CPA was very much independant (an earlier spilt produced CPA-ML in the 60's, and the USSR split in the 70's created the SPA which now has the name CPA). Could you tell me a little about the CPGB dissolution - the CPA never had very strong links to any other party in the period and the leadership had a long history of interfering and destroying rank and file organisation and industrial work of party members. I must admit that until I saw the fact of a simultaneous dissolution in Britain that they were anything other than incompetant, nasty and antidemocratic - I am now suddenly suspicious they were also working for outside agencies - it just does not make sense otherwise. There are other things, small things, which now also suggest this to my mind. Have I fallen into ultra conspiritorial thinking or could there be a link. Please note that British intelligence has had a long history working with "intelligence"(ASIO) in Australia. Little or nothing can be done about these matters but I am now intensely curious.
