Re: [MLL]another list

2001-04-02 Thread Javad Eskandarpour

Comrade Moreira,

I would like to suggest that we better stick to the MLL list and have a
reliable web-site for its operation, as you have mentioned. Regarding the
problem of infrequency of discussions, I must say that this problem might be
due to some personal problems, as it is the case with me, and also the bad
habit of reading some relayed news and becoming satisfied with the received
information and "knowledge" without any critical intellectual efforts on our
part, as if knowledge were possible through a passive verbal contemplation.
Marxism-Leninism indeed abhors a passive verbal contemplation in the
formation and and practice of knowledge, especially scientific knowledge.
I will continue with my postings. I hope that other comrades will be
enthusiastic to keep this list and participate actively in it.
Javad

 Charles,
Please don't misunderstand what I meant. I am certainly not suggesting
people leave the MLL as it is the best list I have found. I was merely

limited I would certainly recommend the MLL first. Hopefully it will stay
 active for the duration.

Sorry if I gave the impression that I misunderstood you. I just wanted to
highlight that the MLL is still operational, though some messages still get
held up of a moderator to approve due to this "suspiscious header" thing.

Anyway. I personally prefer sticking with Workers World, since I believe
they will eventually be up again.
I don't have too much confidence that free Wen sites like offered by Yahoo
will be around for very long.
The laws of capitalism abhors freebies, especially when they can't earn
enough side revenue (ie. advertisements) from it.

The only other thing is I'm concerned why this list has gone so quiet, while
lists like DownWithCapitalism are so active.

Good question. The downwithcapitalism swamps me with messages.
