That will represent it as a capacitor, that is, with constant impedance, 
meaning that the reactive injection will change with the voltage. If you want a 
fixed reactive injection, either subtract the amount of the reactive injection 
from the reactive demand (QD column of the bus matrix), or include a generator 
with fixed reactive injection. For the latter, you either need to set QMIN = 
QMAX (for the OPF) or set QG and make the bus a PQ bus (for power flow).

Hi all,

I want to represent static model of SVC which supplied e.g. Q amount of Var in 
MATPOWER

 

I simply used the sixth column of the mpc.bus matrix. I.e. the bus BS.

 

Can this be considered adequate/correct?
