I was thinking of things like OCR and other functions that both MBS Xojo and 
MBS FileMaker have.

Currently no. 

But I wonder what you are missing in PHP where a lot of extensions are 
available.

Including one for DynaPDF, where you even can use your Xojo plugin license key 
for.
