[bug #7472] ftpfs: failed; nowhere to fallback to

2005-10-09 Thread Leonard den Ottolander

Update of bug #7472 (project mc):

  Status:None => Fixed
 Assigned to:None => leonardjo
 Open/Closed:Open => Closed

Follow-up Comment #5:

Patch 3727 has been committed.

I can't find anything obvious that would have changed the behaviour as
mentioned in comment #4. Maybe you are using a different server and/or a
different mode?

Assuming the issue is fixed. Closing.

Follow-up Comment #4, bug #7472 (project mc):

Something important I forgot to mention in my previous comment,
the current build of mc in fedora-rawhide (4.6.1a) hangs when the timeout
condition happens without in the patch, instead of the old no where to
fallback behaviour. This hang luckily goes away with the patch applied, but
this might indicate a (new) bug somewhere in the vfs code.

comment 2 / Leonard,

Yes this patch fixes things, which is really great, I've started to get used
to this bug but its a big annoyance, please apply the patch to CVS.

See patch 3727
(https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?func=detailitem&item_id=3727). Does that fix
your issue?
