Job Tittle: Job Tittle: Backup Engineer Location: Waltham, MA. Duration: 6+month contract to hire *Candidate must be US citizen* Currently looking for a Backup Analyst who will be responsible for the design and on-going daily tasks relating to backups at our various Data Center locations. This includes the setup and configuration of backups using Networker & Commvault, setting up backup, retention and rotation plus tape handling responsibilities. It also includes configuring system components, on-going maintenance and restoration of backups and addressing backup issues 7x24. Completion of periodic i.e., monthly reports, relating to our backups will also be required. Candidates will join a team of Backup and SAN Engineers primarily focused on Infrastructure Storage, Backup and Restoration of Backups and providing production support. Responsibilities for this role would include: Provisioning backups for new servers, upgrading, and decommissioning existing backups as needed for retired servers. Supporting the day to day operations environment (including Tape handling, build configurations, software maintenance, and service center incidents, restorations and request queue) Participating in the on-call rotation for 24x7 support for escalated problem resolution and business unit based projects and incidents. Project resource for business unit based or Backup resulting from infrastructure projects i.e. Encryption.
