Job Description:*Position: SAS Analytical Consultant*
*Location: Rosemead, CA *
*US Citizens or Green Card Holders or H1B candidates etc. *
 *9.3 Analytical Consultant using Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner,
Forecast Server, BASE, STAT and ETS. *

The candidate must have strong experience and skills with the following
duties and responsibilities, but also possess the ability to work with
little direct supervision in a team environment interfacing and relying on
several client employees in order to do your job, while maintaining
excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrating effective oral and
written communication skills. The ideal candidate must have excellent
communication and facilitation skills (verbal and written).

*SAS Consultant Skill Sets, Duties and Responsibilities: *

 At least five years experience in working/developing in a SAS9 environment
(preferably as part of a analytics project).
 MA or PhD level quantitative fired of study.
 Minimum of 5 years building long term demand and pricing forecasts/models.
 Experience with SAS/ACCESS to ORACLE
 Experience using SAS DATASTEP/SQL to access, trasnform and integrate data
into analytical data marts.
 Experience using SAS Enterprise Guide for data exploration, reporting, &
graphing.
 Experience using Enterprise Miner as follows:
- a data exploration tool
- to perform descriptive statiscal analyses
- statistical modeling feeding into forecasts.
- Data clustering, variable significance, variable creation, segmentation,
etc.
 Experience in using Forecast Server as follows:
- Build long term foreacst models for pricing and demand
- Measure effectiveness and accuracy of models
- Productionalize these models to be run once per month
- Have the ability to measure models through year and make necessary
adjustments prior to the next month ensuring the accuracy of the forecast.
- Ability to see problems of pricing and demand forecasting methodlogy in
novel ways to
create "out-of-the-box" forecasting solutions.


*Demand Response Program Experience within the Utility Vertical*
*This is not to be confused with Demand Forecasting from an analytical
perspective. *
- *Demand Response is defined as: Changes in electric usage by demand-side *
*resources from their normal consumption patterns in response to changes in
the price of electricity over time, or to incentive payments designed to
induce lower electricity *
*use at times of high wholesale market prices or when system reliability is
jeopardized *
