We are in need of an experienced SQL Developer, this position requires a
background in managed care, employee benefits or other healthcare industries.
The candidate must possess strong T-SQL and SSIS skills and experience with
Healthcare Payer Platforms (i.e. QNXT, TriZetto FACETS, Client Systems Diamond
950, Computer Sciences Corporation PowerMHS).
Job Description: The SQL Server Developer will be assigned as a technical
resource on various projects involving SQL Server 2005/2008, as well as
performing duties such as documenting requirements, source-to-Client mappings,
and program logic, designing solutions, testing, and implementation.
Responsibilities: Learn and master database schema of complex third-party
enterprise applications Understand and interpret customer requirements and
develop solutions to meet those requirements Participate in project and new
initiative meetings as necessary; represent the development team and make
recommendations and decisions on behalf of the team Identify ways to improve
development and deployment; make suggestions Develop complex extraction,
transformation and load processes (ETL) in SSIS and T-SQL to support data
movement between systems (SQL Server, Oracle and flatfile sources) Design,
develop, and test reports using SQL Reporting Services Develop and maintain
system documentation, including technical specifications, data mappings,
program logic, and flowcharts Perform additional duties and projects as
assigned by management
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Background in managed care, employee benefits, health insurance, healthcare
(non-payer) or other healthcare industries strongly preferred; focus on
healthcare payer software platforms Excellent knowledge of ETL concepts
including data migration integrity, focusing on SQL Server Integration Services
(SSIS) Strong knowledge of Transact-SQL with SQL Server 2005/2008 Working
knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); PL/SQL with Oracle 10g a
plus Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong business
analysis and needs assessment skills; must be comfortable and effective working
directly with end users Ability to manage priorities and handle simultaneous
demands; able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment Must meet
performance standards including attendance and punctuality Note: Preference
will be given to candidates with strong T-SQL and SSIS skills with a background
in managed care, employee benefits or other healthcare industries, special
focus on healthcare payer software platforms.
