No idea on the quality of this one... perhaps comp.sys.* would better tell me but... I just bought a Quadrant "MD Mate" PCI Sound Card (Windoze only) from Egghead.com for US$65 including shipping. (http://www.egghead.com/category/inv/00442577/03742942.htm) It has an Optical In/Out daughter card with the following specs: DIGITAL AUDIO (SPDIF IN/OUT) * Up to 24-bit stereo 44KHz sampling rate voice playback/recording * Full duplex playback and recording, 120dB measured audio quality * Auto detectable SPDIF/IN signal level from 0.5V to 5V * 120dB audio quality in playback, recording, and bypass modes Comments? Has anyone seen or used this card?
