Pierre advised you to get an sound card with optical out. That is certainly one good way to go, especially if you are into recording MP3s (as Pierre does). Someone else (can't remember his name) suggested replacing the CD player with one that has optical out. This would be a possibility, assuming that you have a component system. Here in the states one can get a CD deck with optical out for about USD 149.00. May I make another suggestion? What about the Sony portable CD player with optical out?
