Re: MD: Fw: Entering service mode on Sharp-MD MT 831

2000-08-17 Thread Peter Wood

Heya,

OPEN - i.e. the unit must have NO POWER

Press and hold PLAY, SYNC[Enter] and DISP buttons. THEN drop in the
battery
and close the compartment (or apply external power - eg turn on the DC
power
 source)

Display says the EEPROM version code , followed by all symbols lighting
up,
followed by the standard Sharp test menu

 My EEPROM version code is
 921AcX

Don't know what it means though!

Gezus, it's been a hell of a long time since I last posted here...
Heh... Exams, and stuff... infact I'm one of those lucky people in
england who gets his A-Level results in about 45 minutes.

The test menu on the 831 is not vastly different fron the
701/702/722... I still maintain my 722 site which might be worth a
look.

http://www.wood-soft.co.uk/index.php?directory=/sharp7XX/

It's my first PHP site, so if you have any problems *please* let me
know or click the report problem button at the top of each page.

Cheers,

Peter.

Very nice Dave, I've added it to the news. -Rick
