I have not had the best experience with HiSpace discs so I choose not to use them. The main problems I've found are that some discs recorded on other players, are recognised (TOC etc.) by my old Sony MZ-R30 portable but not always by my MDS-JB920. For some reason the deck gives a "C13" disk error message when you try to insert it and it just ejects. I have to put it in a couple of times before it finally reads the disc and lets you play. I am not sure why the portable has no trouble with it - only the deck gives problems. Sometimes I can record on HiSpace discs with my portable/deck but then later, the deck gives the same error. Its not very reassuring.
