I was checking out my local Circuit Shity today. I have good news regarding MD. I saw about 5 or 6 different choices in blanks (from about 3 or 4 different manufactures). They had a 15 pack of Fuji that sold for $30. That's pretty good for CC. I also say about 4 different portable MD recorders (3 Sony and one Sharp). I didn't see any decks. But I wasn't looking and I think that they were in the middle of doing something in their component section because most of the racks had empty spaces. I couldn't find one Onkyo receiver even though I know that they push them. A little off the topic. I heard a pair of 61/2" Polk auto speakers that really sounded great. But lets face it, in a car unless you are willing to spend thousands of dollars altering the interior and setting up special baffles for the speakers, don't expect too much no matter what you pay. Even them you still have to deal with road and wind noise.
