Unfortunately, John needs to listen to the programs away from home; he can't carry around a VCP with him for playback the way he can take along a portable MD unit, and he won't have time to dub them from video- cassette to MD before needing to hear them, so that method won't work for him. - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
MD: Timer Recording
I personally wouldn't bother using timers with my MD portable. Instead, I prefer to record audio programs using my Hi-Fi VCR...a breeze for multi-event recording. The sound quality is quite good, and the VCR compression is a benefit, helping to prevent midrange loss during CD dubbs. Besides, I can remaster the tape by running the signal through my Rane graphic EQ, and/or BBE Sonic Maximizer onto MD or CD to enhance the recording.
