Re: MD: members who sell blanks (was MiniDisc Your Music)

Hello

I took a lot of Peter's stock and recently tried to contact him to see how
he was doing. I believe he is out of the country for a while because I did
not hear back from him. Where ever he is I hope all is well and that he
will check in on the board from time to time..

In any case the prices you mention are actually below cost on most name
brand MD's. I could currently get some HiSpace Red color only and sell at
close to those prices but the minimum order is ridiculous and how many
people would choose that product and color on price alone when the more
popular ones are not very much more?? I had a bunch of these for quite a
while and had such a hard time moving them I quit stocking them. If enough
of you tell me I am wrong I will reconsider, maybe restock them again. I
know Peter could do this when he was with the buyitonline with those coupons
but I fear all the trouble and hassle that caused might have had something
to do with his decision to get out.

In any case I am considering doing a regular special for everyone on the
list and any ideas would be welcome, just email me direct. For now, I am
going to offer a straight 10% off anything in stock till the end of the
month. Just enter the words " MD Discussion" in the comments area of the
order form and your total (less the SH charge) will be discounted. The
discount will not show up in the cart (I am working on getting a new one
that will allow for this) but rest assured I will do it manually. The
charge is not made until I manually do it anyway which does allow me
flexibility to do it. For now I can only do credit cards from North America
(USA Canada) but am also working on other options for our friends
overseas. This one may take some time as all the merchant companies really
make this hard and expensive.

I hope many of you will sign up for the store's mailing list to get specials
each month (never more than 2 emails per month, no selling any address's
from the list , NO SPAM). I know several people get upset with ads on this
list which is why I have not made any in a while and I promise I will not
make this a habit either...

THANKS and
Have a GREAT Musical Day!

True, Peter did get out of the business...but he had a ton of stock to
unload at the time...I don't know if he had ever gotten it all sold.

Pierre (aka Peter) has gotten out of that part of the business. Art Munson
