My 940's manual is also upstairs of my computer (and the 940 is also up-

Yeah, I guess I should check my facts before I open my mouth. Sorry
about that.

To disable Demo Mode, one has to chord the STOP and CLEAR buttons on the
panel. Chording them again reenables Demo Mode; disconnecting and recon-
necting power also reenables it, I believe. The chording has to be very
precise; one cannot just hold one of the two buttons down and then press the
other (only chords work, not arpeggios, so to speak).

Oh, so that's why I couldn't get it to work. If you hold down STOP and
CLEAR for a while you get some sort of test mode, any idea what this is?

Thanks,
Josh

The answer is on p. 12 of the fluffy manual, or so somebody else said in
answer to the same question in another forum. It's on p. 12 of the manual of
my JB940, that I can verify.

On my JB940 it's in the "Setup" Menu, the option called "DEMO" (IIRC, too
lazy to go upstairs and dig up the manual ;)

HTH,
