Re: MD: capable of functioning MZ-R2
From: "brynmore williams" [EMAIL PROTECTED] We keep telling people to stay out of service mode. I don't have the answer. but inquiring minds have to know. The minidisc community page was the initial demon. It tells you how to get in, but after that it's a drunken free for all. Anyway, wish me luck. brynmore I agree, you get a gadget then find it has settings not listed in the user manual. I've only barely managed to resist the temptation to switch my R3 into service mode, only because of reports of problems caused by casual fiddling with the settings and that my unit works fine so why tinker with it. I wanna fiddle with setup mode and see what's there but thus far, the saying "curiosity killed the cat" applies and I don't wanna harm my MD. I think you can find this info somewhere on Rick's MD web page: http://hive.me.gu.edu.au/~csand/md/mdpage/minidisc/ GB - Original Message - From: brynmore williams [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, 11 January 2000 3:48 Subject: MD: capable of functioning MZ-R2 I got into service mode and of course i now have a non-functional MD. Does anyone have the default setting for the MZ-R2, or an outline of the abbreviations in service mode. Luckily this is my experimentation device so i can do anything with it. Thanks for the advice. brynmore __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: MD: capable of functioning MZ-R2
How many default settings are there? If you get desperate email me and I will check them out on my MZR2 I did change the focus bias to get it working again (disc err) but apart from that all my settings are at default...
