Maksudnya check port itu bagaimana persisnya?

Mail domain marsh.com menggunakan relayhost (Mail firewall/gateway) untuk terima
mail.
Relayhost tidak perlu (tidak harus punya) pop3/imap server cukup pakai smtp port
25 saja untuk kirim/terima mail dari mail server lain.

Backend (office) server (server yang ada user mailbox) yang mengaktifkan
pop3/imap/msa.

Sedikit out of topic dari mdaemon. Tetapi masih ada hubungannya dengan
email.

 

Saya ingin tanyakan, Kenapa ada email yang tidak bisa di cek port
smtp/pop3/imap menggunakan tooling cek port tetapi mereka bisa send/receive
email? Contohnya marsh.com, kami email-email sama domain ini. 

 

Apa karena menggunakan SSL/TLS jd tidak bisa di cek port nya? Atau apa ya
pak.

Mohon informasinya ya pak. Terima kasih.

Tetapi juga akan membuat spam mudah masuk.

Anda sudah dijalan yang benar dengan memilih public DNS google sebagai DNS 
resolver.
Akan tetapi agar DNS query itu berjalan baik maka perlu koneksi internet yang
baik/cepat juga.
DNS query dulu menggunakan UDP port 53, tetapi DNS query terkini juga pakai tcp
port 53.
Jadi pastikan di firewall outbound tcp port 53 juga diopen/allow.


DNS query akan terganggu jika ada banyak aplikasi lain yang menggunakan dynamic
UDP port, misalkan VOIP (Internet Telephony) yang berbasis UDP (misalkan Cisco
VOIP, Games Online voip discord, google hang out dsb).
Dalam hal ini melakukan pemisahan jalur internet untuk mail dengan jalur intenet
untuk browsing (bagi LAN user) akan bermanfaat.

Berapa banyak orang per cabang?
Kalau lebih dari 6 lebih efisien pakai wired broadband (kalau bisa dapat fixed
IP tentu lebih memudahkan membuat whitelist di dynamic screening atau di 
firewall).

Grouping di MDaemon berdasar username (acco...@araksa.com) bukan berdasar IP
address yang digunakan client.
Jadi bisa saja dibuatkan group cabang1, cabang2 dst yang isinya alamat email

Kalau di kantor cabang koneksi emailnya pake internet masing-masing pak.
Dan agak susah di grouping krn tidak bisa selalu di track user mana yg di pusat 
mana yg di cabang.

Pengiriman ke sesama local user tidak lewat internet, high speed dan free.

Karena saya berlakukan global maka saya ngga masukin ke grup pak.

Harus ada di smt-in log.
Content filter itu bekerja setelah mail diterima melalui smtp.

Ini salah CF rule.
Coba diperbaiki.

Conditions01: If Sender is a member of GROUP Limit 4GB
AND
Conditions02: If the MESSAGE SIZE is greater than 4GB
AND
Conditions03: If header X-MDaemon-Deliver-To does not contains @araksa.com
Actions01: Send Note to recipient
Actionos2: Move to Bad queue (atau Delete the message)
