Excellent! Is this part of compliance ,e.g. which folders are to be
shared etc and other quality and structure consideration pertaining to
DLNA support in MeeGo? (Glad to see we're not behind no-one in the
industry, not even Apple)

So, realising there are several open FEAs about this , is there any
support already in 1.2? Can it be tested in meego tablet or Harmattan
?

MeeGo Core 1.2 comes with a DLNA server/renderer called Rygel [1],
testing it with a MeeGo tablet is rather straightforward. (Don't know if
it's
by default included in the images, but should be found via zypper).
After establishing a WLAN connection, run Rygel from a terminal with:
rygel -n wlan0
After that your MeeGo tablet should show up in the DLNA devices.
By default, Rygel shares the media folders under /home/meego,
you can control the folders that are shared via /etc/rygel.conf.

Hi All,
Are there any plans to support DLNA for in-house entertainment
control etc with MeeGo? Is this a matter of a user land app, or do we
need to add some middle ware and kernel support for that? it seems
Android already supports that.
If there's interest, I'd be keen on running a BoF session about this
for the next meego conf.
