[Meego-handset] nemomobile

2011-11-02 Thread nicola
Hi,
why is meego-handset the mailing list for nemomobile? I think that this
cause information fragmentation (wiki on mer, mail on meego, irc on
nemomobile).
I'm (niqt on irc and twitter) mainly qt developer and linux kernel
developer, i should actively participate in nemo, can i to do?
Nicola

Our intentions with Mer and Nemo are to provide some continuity for the MeeGo
community as the move to Tizen slowly unfolds - we didn't want to just 'fork'
without seeing if there was some way to retain very close ties and yet provide a
truly open community.

We had hoped to continue to use the MeeGo infrastructure (including mailing
lists, wiki, etc) but after meeting the LF and Intel people at LinuxCon last
week it became clear that that wasn't a good long term plan. We'll have more
news on that soon.

So we're now reviewing our options and looking a way to replicate the rich
meego.com infrastructure that the community helped develop over MeeGo's life.

In the meantime we do have mer-gene...@merproject.org and I expect we'll get
nemo-general soon (prod @ smoku)

Is there any more news on this ?

The list seems to be very quiet recently, asides from release
announcements (which are good!) - the last minutes posted were from
the end of November. Are they on hold?

All the best,
Chris

Hi,

There is now wiki, bugzilla, irc-channel for the mer-project, which develops
the core and also for Nemo Mobile which continues MeeGo Community edition's
work to build integrated images with UX for various devices.

 IRC-channels at freenode
 #mer
 #nemomobile

 Wikis:
 http://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Main_Page
 http://wiki.merprojetct.org/wiki/Nemo

Some of the announcements have moved to mer-general -mailing list.
 http://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Mailing_lists

 Bugzillas:
 https://bugs.merproject.org/
 https://bugs.nemomobile.org/

Nemo Mobile still keeps weekly meetings and the meeting minutes are available
at wiki http://wiki.merprojetct.org/wiki/Nemo

 Vesku
