During the wash cycle, some small rubber balls in a cone shaped
holder catch the lint and on pump-out it is flushed by the water
being pumped the other way.

Nope. No one out here.

We're getting ready to be slapped up side of da' head overnight with 5"to 7"

enough here to have gone for a motorcycle ride, were it not for the strong

It doesn't show Sioux County; too far west, I expect. According to the
National Weather Service, Spencer, IA, is supposed to get 9 inches of snow
tonight and two tomorrow. They say you are supposed to get one inch
tonight and 3 - 7 tomorrow. A significant difference for not that much
distance (117 miles on roads).

[MBZ] Doors and Thresholds [was: Re: Lonesome]

I put a roofing square on it a few weeks ago and found that the door jamb
is not exactly perpendicular to the concrete (the house is on a slab). I
then took all the threshold stuff out and marked a line on the bottom of
the door a roofing square's width above the concrete. I then unmounted the
door and carefully cut a straight line parallel to the one I had just
marked. I even angled the saw so the part that would have to push up
against a vinyl seal was inclined. I thought that would fix it, but it did
not.

I was going to turn the metal/vinyl threshold around in the doorway to
move it down on the taper at the bottom of the door, but that puts one of
its mounting holes right over a 3" long wood screw that holds the oak
threshold down against the plywood and pine spacers.

I'm thinking layers of 0.020" brass shim stock would be an appropriate
adjustment, but I don't happen to have any of that.

Door is white, so it's a nice match, and the strip pushes up against inside
of the threshold to seal nicely; actually looks good, too; nobody else
notices it.

Congratulations!

I take it you have one of the "Bumper Thresholds for Outswing Doors", like
that shown in the attached picture (and hopefully, I made it small enough
so the email will be less than 40 kB and not have to wait for Kaleb's
approval).

I know this is a really stupid work around, but could you import the
stuff into thunderbird from the external file and then do import back
into his old outlook?

I know some of you have some experience with Outlook, and I'm in a

Long story short: His hard drive crashed last week and I was able
to resurrect it in an external drive case long enough to get
critical files off of it, including his .pst file from Outlook.
Here's the rub:

His Outlook .pst file was created in Outlook 2003, which is a change
from the earlier .pst format used in Outlook 2002. The only restore
CD we have for his machine has Office XP Pro, which is Outlook
2002. You can't import or use 2003 .pst files in 2002.

I have one machine in the office currently running Outlook 2003.
There are a number of tutorials for opening a 2003 .pst file in 2003
and saving it in the earlier 2002 .pst format (have I totally
confused you now?)

My concern is that with the limited experience I have with Outlook I
fear that bringing in his .pst file may damage or corrupt the
current user's file(s).

If anyone has suggestions or wants to take a look at the Microsoft
tutorials and offer advice, I'm all ears:

No, the door swings inward; the strip I put across inside, bottom of door
pushes up against the rounded part of the threshold (as shown on left in
graphic) and flexes inward slightly as door closes across top of the
threshold.

The car's marking its spot with green coolant now.

Today I grabbed a W123 steering box at the U-Pull, for the
Chicken Wagon whose steering box is terminally loose. That
was a profit center price: $35, with Pittman arm. I'm hoping
to get it installed tomorrow morning.

Line-dried clothes often end up stiff and wrinkly, and then need to
