Ah! I had always heard that the KC-135 was a tanker made from a 707.
If it has different dimensions and structure, then it makes sense
that it was the "missing" number (717)

The last 4 digits of my cell phone are 0717, so I have been telling
people that my number is the only airliner Boeing never sold. Maybe
now I have to tell them it is the DC-9 or the KC-135

The production run for the 737 must be around 40 years now. 737
must be the longest production run for an airliner, and maybe for any
airframe.

Here is the dope from Wikipedia:
The 737 has been continuously manufactured by Boeing since 1967 with
over 6,000 aircraft delivered and 2,000 orders yet to be fulfilled as
of May 2009.[6] The 737 series is the most-ordered and most-produced
jet airliner in history as of April 2009.[1] There are on average
1,250 737s airborne at any given time, with one departing or landing
somewhere every five seconds on average.[7]

42 years, and still 2000 on order. That is a definite ka-ching for
the boeing cash registers.

And the dope on the B-52:
In January 2005, the B-52 became the second aircraft, after the
English Electric Canberra, to mark 50 years of continuous service
with its original primary operator. There are six aircraft altogether
that have made this list as of 2009; the other four being the Tupolev
Tu-95, the C-130 Hercules, the KC-135 Stratotanker, and the Lockheed
U-2.[7][8][9][10]

I don't remember having any vehicles behind me yesterday. But when that
happens, I am quite the defensive driver, with one eye in the rear view

I don't worry about heart attacks. If I have one with *my* diet, then I've
needlessly forsaken lots of delicious Arby's roast beef sandwiches. And I
know when to stop shoveling snow and rest up with a cup of hot coffee or
green tea.

I believe you can get a replacement arch. I don't know how likely it would be to
pull the chassis out of alignment by welding the new piece in.

How do you not see a car while changing lanes into the back of it?

How hard is it to repair this damage. Front fenders are easy, just remove

When you are able to stop at those signs the question is whether the
people
behind you also have such ability. I worried about that a bit when I was
in

snow country. Keep the heart attacks to a minimum. They are not fun.

My "wrecked" 300E has driven all around Jefferson today in similar
conditions --- with $600 of the best tires Goodyear could sell me, and
about
150 lbs. of weight in the trunk. ... By the way, anti-lock works really
well
in that car: kicked in at every Jefferson stop sign today, and stopped
when

everyone else seemed to slide thru the stop signs.

Yep, us okies are going to have one for sure. In typical okie fashion,

going to let up till tomorrow. Thank god for 4x4 should I need to go
anywhere.

Or you could get the block sleeved to fit the one piston you select.

I am sure that would not be cheap.

It cost me $100 to have one hole sleeved on the
big generator's Hercules motor.
