Conventional wisdom is that the quality of the dealer is more important than the brand of tractor. All compact utility tractors are now made in Asia. I ended up with a Kioti because I was looking for a used machine and that's what I found. Re: [MBZ] An eventful morning + Benz story
I went to the FLAPS to get some parts, was talking to the guy there about the problem, he suggested maybe there was water in the gas since no codes were being thrown to indicated a system problem. We have had a lot of rain lately, tank was maybe at 3/4, so maybe condensation or water or something though it would be sorta hard for water to get in there and show up so much later and after driving 25miles. I learned a long time ago that any date we choose will be wrong. Later in September runs into my anniversary or our trip to camp in October. In August its hotter, in the spring it rains more. For the last 7 years this has worked out decently well. Last year we had record turn out. If past experience is any guide this will be a smaller year and next year will be bigger still but we won't really know until then. -Curt From: Dan Penoff via Mercedes mercedes@okiebenz.com To: Mercedes List mercedes@okiebenz.com Sent: Friday, August 22, 2014 3:23 PM Subject: Re: [MBZ] Chowdah Q I wish you guys were having it later in September. I hear the changes include common rail computer controlled electronic injectors, a urea tank, a catalytic converter, and a particulate filter. And a price increase of several thousand dollars. I would go for an older model. I suggest something in the 40-50 hp range, 4WD, front end loader, 3ph with a quick detach backhoe. If you plan on haying I urge a cab tractor. Around here Kubotas have a reputation for top quality but the parts are expensive. I bought one of their RTV900's, now with 1500 hours and going strong. I use it every day. [MBZ] OT Macbook Pro S/W update kills it
My wife had this MBP sitting around she hadn't used for like 10 months (don't ask). Tonight I fired it up and was using it, it kept annoying me to do a software update, 10.8 something I think. So I did that, was like 2GB of something. Restarted and it just freezes, gray screen, spinning wheel, or just gray screen. Apparently this was a major issue from what I see, but none of the suggested fixes do anything. She claims that it did not come with a recovery disk, or doesn't have it, or something. So the question is how do I get this thing working again? I have an imac recovery disk but it won't boot into safe mode or any of the other modes with the various key combinations at startup to get at some sort of boot off disk. I was able to get it to do a verbose startup, shift command V or something, but that hung too once it got so far after displaying lines of stuff. Is this thing totally hosed? Do I need to take it to the mac store and get them to try to fix it? It's their damn software that killed it... --R ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post.
