There are feral pigs on the dry side of the mountains.  Not yet wild boars, but 
just as destructive.  No official hunting for the critters yet.   A few farmers 
allow you to wander their fields in hopes you will reduce the population.  I 
have yet to do this, but BiL has talked to a few property owners.

[MBZ] Dan thinks I may have died

Thank you for keeping me in mind.  I remain with a ticking heart.  Just been 
busy with things no related to sitting at a computer.

My adventures since last Posting.

I got the paint ordered for fixing up Allen.  Mayan Gold from Summit Racing.  A 
single stage since it was less expensive and I will be doing a clear anyway.  
Reading up on how to paint a car and slinging an HVLP gun.

I had Allen up on ramps so I could clean up the underside of all the nasty 
black tar like gunk.  I am not really sure where it came from, but it seems to 
have been applied with a really thick roller.  I used Purple power stuff, 
dollar store oven cleaner,  LA Amazzing spray, and whatever other degreasers I 
could get my hands on.  It took two days and lots of product, but I am now able 
to see gold paint.  Having a respirator and safety glasses helped.

I thought this was all some sort of leak from either the oil pan or maybe the 
trans pan.   It seemed to be mainly focused at the transmission or TC.  But the 
front of engine was also spreading goo backward.  At the next oil change I will 
install a fresh pan seal.  The goo had coated the full underside and collected 
really thick at the rear.  Differential, exhaust, trunk bottom were pretty 
thick.

I had done the valve adjustment and installed a fresh gasket.  A few of the 
fuel return lines were wet, so I cut fresh.  While cleaning the underside, I 
noted that the upper part of the engine smelled of fuel.  Odd, but I checked 
lines and a few more were wet.  I pulled the line at injector #2 and fuel just 
started spewing out.  This is the first time I have seen that take place.  
Could it be over pressure in the tank pushing this forward?  As it is, #2 
injector seems to be leaking at the union to the lower body.  This may be the 
source of the goo, as it weeps and washed down the motor and slobbered along 
the underside.

Then, I decided to check into refreshing AC in the cars.  The SL is old and 
does not look like it was updated to R134.  The W126 say they are R12, but I am 
not sure if that is correct.  Allen (82) has caps on the high and low pressure 
that are color coded.  Neither of the other cars have that, they have screw on 
caps instead of the clip/slip on covers.

brand-spanking new 14.5hp (almost 2x hp as this) Craftsman chipper
shredder is $700 delivered to my door.

Good start! I would not have minded at all if the cheapa$$ had come to
