Tri-Flow is the goo of choice for this sort of thing according to my locksmith. 
 He hates working on cars with graphite.  Or loves it, because it gives him 
lots of work to clean up the mess

Depends whats been in there in the past though right? If it already had an oil 
based lube you've kind of got to stick with an oil base, or clean it really 
well before changing.
