Almost as good as a 1972 350SLC that’s been stored for 20 years, is partially 
disassembled, has been repainted (color change), claims to have been “restored” 
but the engine compartment hasn’t been touched, missing back glass, etc., etc. 
on the MB for sale FB group.

My $500 99E300 had a completely buggered up intake manifold and jammed
EGR, ran like sh*t.  An afternoon of cleaning got it running great.  Was
a fairly easy job on that car though.

I’ve been watching the “Big Jet” YouTube feed from Heathrow since early this 
morning watching all the big jets shoot (and sometimes go around) landings at 
Heathrow during storm Eunice.

Watching those Emirates A380s coming in is amazing. There have got to be a lot 
of white knuckles in those cockpits, no matter how experienced the crews are.

West Coast Citroën Rendez Vous, October 21st through 23rd, 2022, in Sonora,
California*
*THE VENUE*

After considering venues all the way from Pacific Grove east through
Salinas and San Juan Bautista, we are pleased to announce that we settled
on Sonora.

In the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills and at the very heart of
California's "Gold Country", the town is named after the miners from Sonora
Mexico who settled the City in 1848. Known as the "Queen of the Southern
Mines", Sonora still holds on to its historic downtown charm while thriving
as the commercial, government and cultural center for the region.

Our home base for the weekend will be the Best Western Sonora Oaks Hotel.
Rooms include a full breakfast, WiFi, and access to the on-site pool. Our
group rate is $144/night and they've agreed to offer that rate for 30
rooms. After that it is market rate, which is usually about $165/night.


*THE PROGRAMME*
On Friday night we will welcome people at the registration area. You're
encouraged to join us for a casual, prepare-your-own dinner on the hotel

plane must have been flown by a former carrier pilot, s/he slammed that 
plane down right on the numbers, it sure wasn't going to bounce.

I think it's called cascading failure and it can occur in all manner of
social, mechanical, and economic systems if they are not robust.
