The W123s are also solid but don't seem to be the highway cruisers that the "S" 
class cars are. Even my W116 300SD settles in nicely on the highway. Hopefully 
by the W126 chassis they had better corrosion resistance?

Thanks for everyone’s help and input. 
Ended up buying a Silver 2013 Mercedes C300 149,000 miles for $10,000. We split 
the cost and he will pay insurance going forward.  

He looked at and drove an 2013 Audi A4 before driving this one.  He was kinda 
set on getting an Audi and I was not.  After driving both of them he quickly 
changed his mind an we bought the Mercedes.  Car is in excellent shape and has 
been dealer serviced since new.
