Re: [MBZ] OT computer virus which corrupts contact list?

2014-11-11 Thread Kevin Kraly Kevin via Mercedes
After downloading iOS 8, My iPhone 5S and 5C have started having problems
reloading the previous website when I press the back button. Whenever I press
the back button to go to the previous website, I now have to refresh it every
time. Yesterday, the Verizon tech told me that this was normal, funny as I
don't have this problem with the one phone that wasn't updated to the latest
iOS.

Serious: She probably needs to do a reset on the ifone and restore

latest ios. My ipad is way slow now, the ifone seems OK though.

Could be ebola. Has she received any calls from West Africa lately?

Not that simple, it's also affecting her iPhone, which has a totally
separate contact list (two lists actually, gmail contacts and iPhone
 contacts).

In addition, her iPhone periodically drops all the gmail contacts and
calendar events. Deleting the gmail account from the phone and then adding
 it back will restore both.

I dictate all of my text messages with my iPhone 5s. Is long as I speak slowly
enough, it usually gets everything right.

Subject: [MBZ] Two weeks with the MotoX

I don't remember if I mentioned that I finally dropped the hammer on the
MotoX with Republic Wireless but I'm on my way out of my second week with
 it.
Results are positive. I only have a couple minor complaints which will
probably be fixed once I know more about Android.
The biggest positive is predictive typing and autocorrect which are vastly
superior to the iPhone 5 I had before, I've played with swipe type a little
but while its neat I don't know if I'll ever really get into it.
I LOVE the rounded back phone. Why does Apple insist on hard corners? The
front edges of my macbook pro cut my wrists too, bad design.

Republic's use of WiFi for calls has been pretty flawless. It hands off to
cellular nicely, if we didn't not have cell phones I'd consider the $5 WiFi
only option for a home phone.

Anyway, I'm still getting used to it but all things considered Apple would
have to do something amazing to lure me back to a phone that costs twice as
 much with no advantages.
