Thanks for the welcome Dan!

In my past M1 was exactly what I was using back when buying parts from
Rusty and listening to the wise council of Marshal Booth.  Not sure if you
guys know of them but they both really helped me do the care & feeding of
my W123's back in 07.

Found it interesting the PPI mechanic I found in Atlanta strongly advised
against synthetic in the diesel W123 as he has seen many leaks over the
30,000 cars he has serviced of his time owning the shop.

I never had that trouble but my experience set was much smaller than his.

This will be my daily driver, as I'll probably unload my 06 CDI w/ 250k
needs ABS & the interior is falling apart, my bride is not excited, she
loves that car.  I owned all my W123s in a previous life.  She said she
grew up hating the look of the W123 :-) Funny we may have one in the family
now..

really in the mood for one again.

Back then we went back & forth on Mobil1 & conventional diesel oil.  Could
you guys offer the most current wisdom.

are heading to graduate school in Virginia Beach.  I'm looking for a shop
for her.
