That Wisconsin sheriff thing that started with a 16 y-o girl hospitalized
after a spring break Florida trip, she was diagnosed as Chinese SARS but
tested negative. So they discharged her from treatment for lung infection
from unknown virus, but on her work/school release they said she had been
hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms, quarantine recommended.

If she had died, would you tally her as a Chinese Flu death or not?

Re: [MBZ] ***SPAM*** OT: Pulse Oxymetry to detect COVID-19

2020-04-22 Thread Clay via Mercedes
Alaska is nuts about their tabulations. They are tracking almost anything
available to nail down future disaster funds. We are told how many new cases
pop up, where, if it is travel related or they got it from the neighbors free
roaming cat, who is locking down best and how much time you need to be wearing
a mask, what the mask is made of, who sewed it, was it US fabric or from Asia.
Totally ludicrous. So far the death count is stalled at 9. Each day a new
drib or drab of infected, but over 50% recovered with all manner of health
facilities begging for bodies in beds. The unhoused are allowed to roam the
streets unhindered, spreading plague as they gather to share bottles of Night
Train.

The biggest idiocy to my mind. The count of dead includes people who perished
NOT in Alaska. Nine dead. A third of the statistic joined the Choir Eternal
in the lower 48. In the past month there have been SIX dead out of 329 ill
with 162 all better, thank you for kissing my booboo and patting my head.

Your local figures may vary. I am in no way belittling any tragedy you are
encountering in your current place of habitation. I do get a chuckle that the
WRD struck Kolifornia weeks prior to the scary outbreak up in Seattle. Over
two months go by before we found out there was an ongoing infection event with
bodies dropping. Time for everybody to comb back through the numbers to better
be able to assign cadavers to the list. It does look as if the infection was
carried across the Pacific by students returning from the holiday break to
Universities on the west coast back in January.

I guess the thinking is that were it not for COV 19 those people would
still be alive, pre-existing conditions notwithstanding.

Anything and everything. If you test for COVID-19, that's your cause of
death. You could be 105 years old with lung cancer, Alzheimers, ALS,
liver failure, kidney failure, and diabetes but if you test positive for
COVID-19 that's what goes on your death certificate. Almost like there
is some push to have the death count as high as possible.

Indiana just added a bunch of deaths to the official count where there
was no test but where symptoms were "consistent with" COVID-19.

Don't recall if it has been mentioned on here but apparently the ability
to smell peanut butter is another form of test. It has been determined
that one of the symptoms of COVID-19 is often (not sure it is always )
the loss of olfactory sense. The loss may be gradual and those afflicted
may not realize it is happening so the suggestion is that one sniff the
peanut butter every morning to see if they can still smell it. The world

I saw something the other night on the national news about there being issues
with blood clots in some patients as well. As a result doctors were
