The reason there is a "shortage" is because every medico has figgered 
out it works, and they are prescribing it for themselves, family and 
staff.   That leaves none for you and I, but on the other hand, I don't 
really begrudge the medicos a chance to stay well while working around 
the virus.   Their familywell, I think I have just as much right to 
have the stuff as they do.

Peter is on the right track. Save it for severely affected patients where
the potential benefit is greater and justifies the risk of the medication.
Even in the hospital its effectiveness seems modest.

The cure should not be worse than the disease; if the disease isnt bad, the
medication doesnt have to have many side effects to cause more problems
than it solves.

there was any antiviral effect at all. Even if there is, this is a 
classic case of trying to kill a fly with a sledgehammer, the
