I owned the same car/same color scheme in 1983-1984.  Purchased for $9,500
and sold for 8,500 after considerable repairs due to 50K mile rollback of
the odometer by the PO, who happened to be Iranian.  There were telltale
scratches on the dash where he had pried out the instrument cluster.  It
had a reserve tank so I could drive 600 miles between fuelings.  I have no
regrets since it is the  second most beautiful color Mercedes offered after
moss green metallic.
