Speaking of which, I have a 1986 190E 2.3-16.
A week ago, the fuel pump(s) quit pumping, while drawing prodigious
current, judging from the size of the spark when I jump the relay.
Does anybody know if it has one or two pumps, and if two, are they the
same part number?

Yeah, I know, raise the car, crawl under, and remove the cover.
Unfortunately, I was warming it up in the grass behind the cottage where
the ground is a little soft for jacking a car up when the pump died. It
died like I'd turned off the ignition.
Mitch.

I have a 1990 190e 2.6. It is very fun to drive in a spirited fashion, but it
does suck fuel at a prodigious rate. I probably need to replace some (all) the
rubber bits and the head gasket soon.
