Hi Jon,
I owe you an email about your Zeniths.  I've been doing two jobs at work
lately, so finding time for email is more difficult than usual.

But, interesting about the BMW pumps... I'll have to look into them.  If I
buy a set I can get you some too and we can save on shipping.

As for rebuilding your carbs yourself, it's really not difficult.  It's a
matter of keeping track of what goes where and how it all goes together.
Doing one at a time and taking photos makes it easier.  Assembling the
chokes is the most tricky.

quickly. :-(

I really want to do some work on my carbs.  The car is running fantastic except 
for a hesitation while accelerating at low speeds.  I checked the accelerator 
pumps, and as I feared, they just dribble fuel.  Real Mercedes pumps are about 
$140 each IF you can find them.  BMW used the Zenith 35/40 INAT carbs on 
numerous models.  You can order the pumps from just about any dealer on-line 
and they cost between $35-40.  Only snag is that they come from Germany so it’s 
about 10-14 days delivery.

Maybe I’ll take the carbs off after she goes into the barn.  That way I will 
not be rushed and it’ll give me something to do after the snow flies.
