All of my 123 cars (3 now) have had trouble with vacuum to the left rear door. 
My current '78 240D has an occasional link there. The hard line had failed 
(shattered) so I replaced it with a length of soft line from Rusty which I 
guess has a worn spot. I need to pull it apart again and this time put some 
split loom over it to keep it from abrading. Or I need to source some new hard 
line...

It turned out to be the unlock of the left rear door.  Golf tee for now as it's 
getting dark and cold outside!  Everything works now (except the left rear 
lock)!

It turned out to be the unlock of the left rear door.  Golf tee for now as it's 
getting dark and cold outside!  Everything works now (except the left rear 
lock)!
