Where BTW did you get the part no from for the flywheel as 6170320001 is not on the EPC that the dealers have - is it perhaps the original part no when the vehciles were first lauched? I got the flywheel from a 1980 123.130 with a 617.912 and a stick shift from the factory. The number I listed is the one it's marked with. The other number (for a 240D) is from a 1982 240D with a 5-speed (whose 5-speed was already taken). Craig

We're talking about a stick-shift flywheel, aren't we? If so, it's in section 03-420 of the engine manual. dimension a, from clutch friction plate surface to clutch pressure plate mounting surface22.5 to 22.6 mm dimension b, from bolt head surface to clutch friction plate surface as new 18.5 mm for refurbishing, up to 17.5 mm Part numbers: 615, 616 stick-shift flywheel 115 032 06 01 617 stick-shift flywheel617 032 00 01 If it's for an automatic, that's in section 03-410, but I think we're talking about a stick-shift.
