What is the yellow 3m adhesive for trim and stuff? I need to buy some but can't remember which was the right one. No. The yellow is for weatherstripping. What do you want it for? That’s what dictates which one to get. 8088 is the light duty stuff, 8089 heavier, 8090 heaviest. What is the proper way to seal exterior trim strip clips on a w123 so that they do not leak water through into the car? Mine are leaking in. Is there a gasket or a sealant? These are the red plastic sockets? Red berries! Yes, they are self-sealing. Time to replace them. You can buy them relatively cheap from places like AutohausAZ.
