Most or at least many folks never haul much because they do not do anything for
themselves

No!  If mama wants a minivan, buy a Metris or a sprinter if she makes
that kind a money!  Forget that riceburner crap.  My first van was a
frod 66 "falcon"  It was great, except in freezing rain.  240 truck
engine. I ran continental 6 ply radials on it to take the loads I
hauled.  66 and 67 had the heavy duty rear end vs the earlier spicer POS
that broke frequently.  It hauled as much as a 3/4 ton truck.  up to
2500 lb of freight easily.  Sometimes more!  Second was a 99 dogde GC.
that has been superseded by two other GCs.  The current crop of GC are
frustrating because you can't haul more than a couple 4x8 sheets.  I
hauled 50 sheets of 1/2" CDX sheeting in the old frod.  I hauled a full
stack of 4x8 sheets in the ? 2000 GC vans.  I don't now about the 2001
to 2007 GC, I never had one of them.

Those asian crap vans are nothing but POS.  I don't think you can haul a
sheet of plywood in any of them.

I really like the "Stow and go" back seats in the dogde.  Saves a lot of
work and keeps some jackass from stealing your seats while you have them
out to haul stuff.  I seldom need the rear seats, but they are noce to
have once in a while.

It is what you want if your wife insists you drive a mini-van.

My son works or worked with a fellow whose wife is a specialist MD of
some sort who earns a whole lot more than him.
He needed a new vehicle and was talking at work about what he wanted-
some sporty car.
Apparently, his wife who made most of the money thought he needea to
drive a mini-van so he could haul their two children around so he
ended up with a Toyota (or maybe Honda)) mini-van and took a fair
amount of ribbing about it from the guys in his office.
