Re: [MBZ] AMG photo attachment test ?
Well easier to remove. You can also get the powder coat off. Its just a slightly tougher coat of paint after all. You would still need to repolish and rechrome the trim in either case, especially if you roughed it up and destroyed the polish to make either the paint or powder coat stick better. Sometimes I wonder if powder coat is even as good as paint. I've had a lot of items with rust bubbling up under powder coat seemingly faster then under paint. Mostly those wonderful HF items. Yeah I know it's all in the preparation. I wonder if they make a rustolium undercoat? :-) Manfred Date: Tue, 21 Dec 2010 12:32:26 -0500 From: Walt Zarnoch To: Mercedes Discussion List Subject: Re: [MBZ] AMG photo attachment test ? I like the way the TD looks. Well all except the painted radiator grill. The reduction of chrome on the rest of the car looks nice though. Also like the air dam on the rear above the tailgate window. Don't know how the front airdam on the sunroof one would work. Seems to me that it might cause some noise with the wind burbling over it. Then again they have been around on a lot of cars for a few years.
