Re: [MBZ] ATF for 91 W124 300D 2.5

Larry,
To echo what John and Werner said. I use Mobil 1 ATF in my 240D and my 300D
2.5t. They both shift well in cold. On the 240D I had a before and after
comparison. On the 300D 2.5t, it's just smooth and no hesitation when
staring out on a cold RI morning. I don't know about the Dexron III
equivalent-I only found one Mobil 1 ATF-Marshall or someone else can comment
on the tech specs.

LarryT - I've been using Mobil1 Synthetic ATF in my '90 300D 2.5 for about
80k miles now, and it still shifts smoothly, with no leaks. Changing it
every 30k, including the torque converter, new filter and gasket, of course
every change.

The Mobil 1 made a great improvement in my 300D 2.5. The dealer put it
in when I had a factory refurbished transmission installed. They
recommended it. It shifts much better when cold.
