Just about every Japanese carmaker copied the shape of the 124's rear end in the '90s, in particular the rounded upper corners and the trapezoidal shape of the trunklid between the rear lights. Mazda was an especially bad offender, as I remember thinking the first time I saw a Protege (the little sedan that came after the 323 and before the current "3").
