Yes a big relay, (looks the same as an old Frod starter relay) made
for continuous ON would be a better route. (available at FLAPS)
You want to keep the length of heavy battery cables short. Mount the
relay close to the battery, and run the control wires into the cabin
for switching. Keep in mind that a battery disconnect will not stop
or shutoff the car. HF sells an underhood manual battery switch for
3-5 bucks.
Hmmm don't they have big relays, like an old Frod solenoid that are
made for continuous on operation?
