I am adding this to my list of semi regular maintenance items along with
valve adj, ALDA cleaning and filter/oil changes. There was a good
discussion on mshop about this
(http://mercedesshop.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=234609 ignore the
title it is incorrect) and recommend this to anyone with a M or MW
injection pump. It takes a few minutes and can do wonders for your car.

Rolf,
That thread is a VERY tedious read, and I can't seem to find any benefit more
than feelings expressed (eg. I feel more power, I feel better mpg, my idle
feels smoother) (is that forum for Dems/Liberals/Progressive types? just
kidding...)
What is your take?
The premise seems to be that restoring fuel pressure delivered to the main fuel
filter is beneficial, but I haven't seen any direct evidence of the benefit yet.
Seems to me that more power would be easy to measure by comparing before/after
time for 0-60 run.
