Every BP station I've been to has used green handles for everything. I
think this is supposed to combine with their flower-like new logo to
make them seem more environmental.

 My brother, a diesel fleet mechanic, once had a knucklehead service 
 driver run two complete tanks of gas through a Ford 6.3 diesel, with 
 no ill effects, tho I wouldn't recommend it.

That'd be pretty impressive. Most diesels refuse to run well enough to
be drivable with straight gasoline in the tank.

I *don't* think gasoline in the tank would blow out glow plugs. The
energy content of gasoline is actually *lower* than that of diesel. The
problem isn't that gasoline is too explosive, it's that gasoline is too
thin for the clearances in most injector pumps, so the timing and fuel
quantity are wrong.
