Nice project, appears to be solid except for the crappy paint on the roof and
pillars. No AC in AZ? Wow, that’s got to be a tough sell. Wonder if the heater
blower works?

Cars designed before the advent of universal AC are fairly tolerable to
drive in the heat. Wing windows, floor vents, etc. Just stay moving,
and hydrated, and you're fine. Cars after and the AC's not functioning?
Not so much.

My '59 Alfa Romeo Spyder Veloce also had no A/C. It was the one I drove
from Pasadena to the Goldstone Tracking Station near Barstow when I got
acclimated to higher temperatures (and froze when I was back in Pasadena
because it was only 85).

When we owned our '72 220D/8, we rarely used the A/C, even in Sacramento,
CA, during the summer.

Our current '89 Chevy G20 Beauville has an inoperative A/C. It's not too
bad when driving in Albuquerque, but stopping to do errands makes it
hotter both through the sun shining in the windows and the engine heat
soaking up through the floor. Typically after some business there we stop
by the Circle K on Carlisle and get two XL drinks for $0.79 each. The
change in temperature as we drive through the pass east of Albuquerque
is quite noticable.

Most of my cars don't have functioning AC.

In Indiana, July and August are hot and humid, otherwise it's not really
a big deal.

You get used to it if you don't have it. Arm out the window cools you
down pretty effectively.
