I remember Marshall saying that the Bosh fuel filter was not as good as the other German/Austrian filters. I just bought two of those jugs. Sounds just like the deal Advance Auto had last month. M1 filter (or 8.99 off a filter priced over 8.99) and five quarts of M1 for $29.99. Last I knew, the turbo diesel M1 at W-mart was 4 qts for a bit over $20 and the other non-extended M1 was five quarts for a similar price. If you have a vehicle that you want a M1 filter for, the package works out OK. I usually buy Hengst from Rusty for the mbz and stock up on PureOne Purolators for the Achieva from Amazon when there's a rebate. Autozone regularly has the 5qt and a filter deal, usually $25-$29. I get it anytime I see it, they don't stock MB filters so I get one for the Ranger. When I get the oil changed in the Ranger its $5 off because I bring the filter. Rumor I was told is that Some daughter and son in law of sam walton started autozone, and then got divorced. she kept autozone, and he bought into a company with a few stores and built it into almost nationwide. (Oreilly) almost everyplace there is or was an autozone, you will find oreilly. Now, there are more oreillys in the parts of the country I travel.
