560 SL bits, some stuff for the 240D I sold.) Not inexpensive, and
a surprisingly small outfit, but usually very helpful. They'll ship.
Not being open on weekends sometimes hurts their utility to me.

Friendz really only does the pre-80's cars. IIRC, they overloaded
the storage space and no longer purchase, in an attempt to clear stock.

Aurora Auto Wrecking is the only place for more recent items. None
of them are open Sunday. Except the PnP, and their is no way a 124
will show up there for another ten years unless it is smooshed.

BFH and I go wayy back. But, he can't help much in this instance. Due
to the design of this silly thing, there's no way to support the front of
the carrier without destroying the backing plate. And, there's simply not
enough room or purchase area to support it from the backside, either. Ma
Benz wanted you to use their tools and no others. Reinhard says his boyz
use a slide hammer to pull the hub, then the bearing, while it's on the
car. This job really is set up to do in situ--my bad. "Learn it - know it
- live it."

This is where I reach for a BFH and a heavy chunk of steel to serve
as a punch. What are you going to do, wreck it? That's pretty much
where you are already. Shouldn't need any heat until it's time to
put on the beads, nor any fine tools until it's time to try to put
in the new bearing. I love it when that approach pans out.
