One advantage of the AZ area or near Edwards AFB in CA (Lancaster) or lost wages is that the metal parts of your junkers won't deteriorate. The interior pars will degrade quickly. Sure. Boise is amazingly reasonable considering that it's gotten some influx of SoCal people, but not nearly as much as the more tourista areas. Cost of living is decent as well, and the climate is amazingly temperate. Large contingent of Mormon folks, but not overwhelming like SLC.
