Nice to read that this guy eventually prevailed and got both the feds and
the Kalifornia authorities to sign off on his car.  The gray market for
unusual European cars lives on, even if much reduced from its heyday in the
early '80s.

That's awesome! I see one every once in awhile pop up on the US eBay
site (shipping from CA).

Too bad MB didn't decide to import them instead of the Smart car. The B
has better looks  functionality!
